I believe the new FEMA director replacement to be a good choice. I actually knew of David Paulison when I live in Miami. A couple guys that lived on my dock were firefighters and David was then the Miami-Dade fire Chief. I know they thought alot of him as a really fair guy and good for the department. Also that the guy has an actual working background...not just a paper pusher! That he comes from an area of the country not a stranger to hurricanes is a plus. Anyway it's nice to see that they actually picked some one with credentials!!

Like I said the thing I like best about him is that he was once a regular joe, just a regular working firefighter that worked his way up. Not some one who got his position from his daddy.
I'm so glad you get to go work with the displaced Pets down in Louisana!! I think they need warm hearted people to look after them in many cases even more than some of the people. After all there is no FEMA for pets.

I love firefighters, that was one of my first dream jobs as a kid. Not to mention, some of them are pretty hot too!! *wink*
